How to achieve the results that you want

 There is a three stage process that is easy to follow, will keep you on track and ensure that you achieve what is important to you

1.  Create your big picture
2.  Add the four key steps
3. Build your daily planning sheet
Stage 1 - Create your big picture

What do you really want to do?  This is the centre and focus for all of your planning and activity. 

It is in the centre of the page and around it are circles (the key workpieces) you need to deliver on this core aim.

​In the example below these workpieces include 
  • my ebook
  • my training course
  • my freelance work
  • my product sales
  • my community project
  • my part-time job
  • my web business

You of course, will have your own workpieces relating directly to what it is you want to achieve

​N.B.  If you don't know what you really want to do yet, then don't worry! Just leave the centre circle blank and concentrate on developing and sharing  your skills, knowledge and experience with others in the group. 

​These will be  what you write in the circles around the core.

​EXERCISE  1 -  Create your  big picture

Complete the diagram below.  You can do this  in your notebook or download  a copy here.

Include  'What I really  want to do" in the centre along  with the workpieces you need to help you to achieve this.

Stage 2 - Add your four key steps

Take one of you workpieces and identify the four key activities/steps that need to happen to deliver this.

​Write these in time order - which step comes first?

Each Daily Planning Sheet covers your activity day by day for one month. See the date numbers down the left hand side.

Keep your Daily Planning Sheet up to date

1. Take your four key points from workpiece one  in  Stage 2 and add  onto your daily planning sheet.

2. When will you actually work on these activities? Howe many days will each take? Will activities overlap?

3. Now add all other workpiece activities onto his daily planning sheet -  workpiece two , workpiece three, etc.

4. This means when you look at tomorrow's date you will be able to see exactly  what you should be working on. 

5. If you fall behind on any task or miss a deadline just reorganise your planner  - and get back on track!
