Here are the main  sections you can find in most well organised ebooks

Some  of these are self explanatory  but the main points are notes below:

1.  COVER PAGE


Get a good cover designed by a graphic designer. This does not have to cost a lot - see www.fiverr.com

Add the title, strapline and author's name to the cover page. You can always publish  under a  'pen name' if you do not wish to use your own name,

Maybe include a selling phrase or a quote from a happy reader....?



2. TITLE and  STRAPLINE

Make sure that your title and strapline give a compelling reason to  read the book. 'How to..' books are classic examples of a tried and trusted approach.



3. COPYRIGHT STATEMENT / ISBN

 Copyright Statement
You should include a copyright section usually at the bottom of the first inside page

ISBNs (international book numbers)
ISBNs are 13 digits and are easy enough to get online and you can create your own publishing name. Amazon provide ISBNs  for free.
 You can also get a free bar code generated online for your ISBN.

It  can be helpful to include  some testimonials/book reviews on a page  before your contents page .

Opening
Opening line or paragraph should capture the reader.
Make your opening line a great hook to bring people in.

Benefits
Explain the purpose of the book and who it is for.
What will the reader gain by reading this book?
What will they learn?
What will they be able to do differently?
How will this book help them or others?
What are the real benefits to going to get out of reading this?
How is it different to other books?
What does it specifically address?
Why must they really read this?

Oveview
What’s in the book?
Tell the reader how it flows and the benefits at every stage.

Chapter overview

Tell your story – how you learnt or experienced this. Talk about the people organisations you have worked with.

Summary at the end of each chapter



8. CALL TO ACTION AT THE END

Now that the reader has finished your  book,  what next? What do you  want them to do?  


9. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Include a profile  about the author. This is an opportunity to build a stronger relationship with the reader . Talk about other aspects of your experience / life /work that may be of interest.



10. OTHER BOOKS

Use this section to promote any other books that you have written.
Is this one of a series?
Is a  foll-ow up or Part 2 due out soon?
