A one day in-house programme for Community / Voluntary organisations, Local Authorities, Universities / Colleges, Health bodies and Charities. Overview Traditional voluntary sector funding models are no longer sustainable and are not adequate. Many voluntary sector bodies are recognising this and creating a new approach which is not just based mainly on grants. The Work It Out! Community Sustainability programme helps organisations to achieve their aims by moving from dependency and grants to building a secure range of income streams and becoming fully sustainable. Who for? Objectives of the 2 day programme To detail a ten point plan to show voluntary sector and community based organisations how they can re-focus their current operations to achieve sustainability. To design and develop a range of new income streams, revenue generating projects and options suitable for implementing in each organisation. To ensure that each organisation (or Department) has a clear 12 month plan for maximising income possibilities and becoming sustainable. Key Points

Action Plan Each organisation leaves with a clear strategy and action plan that will enable them to implement their Sustainability strategy immediately. Coaching is therefore is much too narrow a word to describe the process. It's about conversations, building relationships and working (every way we can) with people to help them to achieve their goals. So, we are not just providing an isolated or detached support service like traditional coaching. Our Coaches use their full toolkit of skills, experience, knowledge, contacts and expertise. A better word for our Work it Out Coaches are effectively Work it Out Practitioners. We say to colleagues from the start that we are here to work with you – to help you to work it out. We don't just advise and leave them to it. Our three core principles are: Collaboration – we work with the person and build a strong supportive relationship. Accountability – we know what results we are working towards together and this is our compass. Integrity – we are our ‘true selves’ in this process and not just delivering a service. Work it Out Coaching is about a commitment to the other person. It is not a detached role. The process is a continuous one starting with your initial coaching session. This is then followed up with support and ongoing work with the person. Work it Out Coaching is you as a combination of coach, manager, trainer, consultant and advisor. You are working collaboratively with the person and using your full set of tools, skills and experience that you have gathered. It's called Work it Out Coaching because you work it out with the person and achieve the results together. |
